Clive Jacobson brings over twenty years of international advertising and design experience, with a focus on strategic, brand-building creative for institutional and retail accounts.
After establishing himself as one of the top graphic designers in South Africa, Clive moved to Manhattan in 1984, where he has worked with several Fortune 500 Companies, as well as many small to mid-size start-ups.
As art director for ID, Magazine of International Design, Clive won numerous awards. He then founded Jacobson Design, and worked for clients such as The NFL, Citibank, Union Carbide and Olympia & York USA. In 1995 he joined Harte-Hanks as Executive Creative Director, servicing accounts such as Escada, Target, Ameritech, TJMaxx, Allstate and Philips. In 2000 Clive restarted CJD where his clients have included Citigroup Private Bank, UBS, Turner Corporation, Hannah Real Estate and Odeon Capital LLC.
Clive’s work has been awarded for excellence by: AIGA, American Institute of Graphic Arts; American Corporate Identity; The Art Directors Club of New York; Art Direction Magazine; Communication Arts; Graphic DesignUSA; Logolounge, Print Magazine; Graphis Magazine; SPD-The Society of Publication Designers of America; South African Society of Marketers and the 2000 International Annual Report Competition (ARC) Awards.
